Frequently Asked Questions

  • A dietitian consultation is a personalised session focused on understanding you… your health history, goals, lifestyle, preferences and challenges. During the consultation, we assess your nutrition habits, medical background, and current concerns, as well as a BIA (Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis) for body composition, then create a practical, evidence-based plan tailored to your needs. You’ll receive clear guidance, realistic strategies and tools you can actually apply in everyday life, with ongoing support.

  • No referral is needed to see a registered dietitian. You can book an appointment directly. Some medical aids may require a referral for reimbursement, so it’s worth checking your specific plan, but you are welcome to consult without one.

  • Dietitian-led weight loss focuses on sustainable behaviour change, not restriction or quick fixes. Instead of rigid diets, the approach is personalised to your body, lifestyle and preferences. The goal is long-term results, improved health and a better relationship with food, not short-term weight loss followed by regain.

  • Healthy weight loss is individual and depends on factors like your starting point, medical history, lifestyle and consistency. As a general guideline, gradual weight loss (0.5 - 1 kg/ week) over weeks to months is more sustainable and easier to maintain. The focus is on progress, not perfection.

  • Sports nutrition focuses on fuelling training, recovery and performance through targeted nutrition strategies. It’s not only for elite athletes, it benefits recreational athletes, gym-goers, endurance athletes and anyone wanting to improve performance, energy levels and body composition while supporting overall health.
